Christopher Styles appears in A Local Authority (Alleged Honour Based Abuse) [2024] EWFC 177

Christopher represented a family member throughout complex proceedings concerning honour-based abuse and its alleged connection to a domestic homicide.

Following a ten-day finding of fact hearing before Mr Justice Poole the court concluded that the Local Authority had failed to prove any connection between the murder and concerns in respect of honour-based abuse. The court concluded that there had been a degree of overstatement in respect of ancillary allegations of controlling behaviour and physical harm.

Christopher is an established practitioner, specialising in the representation of parents and children in public law proceedings.

He was recently appointed to sit as a Deputy DIstrict Judge on the North Eastern circuit.
