One Step at a Time: Broadway House Chambers Staff to Complete 2 Million Steps in August for Leeds, Mind

Broadway House Chambers staff launch their charity campaign ‘One Step at a Time’ as they aim to complete 2 million steps in August.

“1 in 4 people experience mental health difficulties in their lives. Whether that be depression, anxiety, isolation, stress, self-harm, personality disorder, bereavement or any other negative mental health experience” (Mind, 2023).

With the current cost-of-living crisis and having to adjust to life after a pandemic, more and more people are struggling with their mental health every day.

Wellbeing Officer and Clerk David Richardson said, “My colleagues and I have embarked on this challenge with a dual purpose; to enhance our own mental health and to extend support to this remarkable charity. Leeds Mind plays a vital role in aiding the individuals of Leeds and its neighbouring regions in their journey towards mental well-being, one step at a time”.

Promotion and Marketing Manager, Leah Taylor said, “This is certainly going to be a challenge due to us all having a desk-based role. However, with support from our friends, colleagues and the legal community it will certainly spur us on to get those steps in for an incredible cause”

With 12 members of staff taking part, their aim is to raise £1,200 and are grateful to anyone who can donate. Every penny counts!
