Jon has practised in Financial Remedy for over four years, representing clients nationwide. Jon is known for providing practical and realistic advice always with a keen eye to achieving the best outcome for his clients given their specific circumstances. His financial remedy practice includes, but is not limited to:• Pensions
• Out of jurisdiction assets
• Complex business structures
• Dissipation of assets
• Joinder of third parties
• Pre-trial applications such as maintenance pending suit and applications under section 37 of the MCA 1973
Private Children
Jon is experienced in representing parents in Private Children matters, particularly those who are vulnerable and / or involved in high-conflict disputes. Areas include but are not limited to:• Finding of fact
• Change of residence
• Internal and external relocation
• Jurisdictional issues (Jon had a High Court case involving whether the appropriate venue for a claim was the Circuit Court in New York or the High Court of England and Wales)
• Parental alienation
• Specific issue orders and prohibited steps orders
TOLATA and Probate
Jon is a member of the Business, Property and Probate Team and has a particular interest in TOLATA and probate matters. His experience in financial remedy proceedings complements his TOLATA practice, given the similar issues often arising in both areas.Prior to commencing his career at the Bar, Jon gained valuable experience as a paralegal within the civil team of a Leeds-based firm.

Jon has extensive experience in employment law, representing both employees and employers across a broad spectrum of workplace disputes.
