Nikki Saxton KC is one of only 3 specialist financial remedy silks outside London and the only silk on the North Eastern Circuit but receives instructions from solicitors nationally and deals with high net worth and high profile clients.
She has over 20 years’ experience specialising in the field of matrimonial finance and Schedule 1 claims and is unphased by large and involved financial remedy claims with complex trust and business structures and nuptial agreements.
Nikki’s aim is always to achieve a settlement for her clients but is prepared to fight and is known for her ability to “cross examine to devastating effect.”
Nikki is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and available to undertake financial arbitration and private FDRs.
Nikki regularly lectures to the Judicial College, Resolution and at the FLBA national conference.

Nikki undertakes financial remedy work for high net worth individuals and is regularly involved in high court cases where the assets exceed £10m and has acted as in cases of substantial value and complexity. Nicola has been involved in a number of high net worth high court matters, typically listed from 3 – 9 days and involving assets of £5m – £25m. Her cases involve family businesses and privately owned companies. She has experience of both foreign and domestic trusts.

Nikki has a holistic and commercial approach to litigation and, in addition to her advocacy in court she has concluded negotiated settlements with assets up to £450m and regularly represents clients at joint settlement meetings, private Financial Dispute Resolution hearings and Arbitrations.
